Quality Program

What accreditations does centex lab’s quality department hold?

Centex Lab's Quality Program holds approvals from NADCAP/AC7004 as well as complying with D1-4426/Boeing.

Shipping/Receiving

Do you offer pick-up/delivery service?

Although we do not offer a pick-up or delivery service, we provide assistance in coordinating your shipment to and from our facility.

Invoicing

What payment terms do you offer to customers?

First-time customers are expected to pay for their first order COD, unless credit terms have been approved in advance. We offer terms of Net 30 days from the date of invoice to customers who have been approved after a credit and reference check. All customers wishing to establish an account should complete and return our Customer Information Form to provide us with that important information. The completed form can be faxed (817-788-8213) or e-mailed to Kelley Mercer at kelleym@centexlab.com.

Heat Treating

What is the maximum size of furnaces?

Centex Lab's furnaces are able to accommodate parts no larger than 6 feet.

Non-destructive Testing

What information do I need to provide in order to receive a quote?

Centex Lab will need the following information in order to provide an accurate quote; Part drawing or size, quantity of parts to be inspected, location of area to be inspected if applicable (i.e 100%, welds only, localized area), specifications, parts list revision.

How soon can i expect results for non-destructive testing?

Centex Lab's usual turn-around time is 3 to 5 business days, depending on the number of processes to be performed and the amount of work we have in house. Same-day, nextday, and 2 day expedited services are available at an additional cost. Please contact us for availability of these services.

Liquid Penetrant Inspection

Do you perform pre-penetrant etching?

Centex Lab does offer Pre-Penetrant Etching of parts.

What is the maximum length you can inspect?

We can inspect material up to 67" length by 29" wide by 26" deep.

What types of materials can be inspected?

Centex Lab inspects aluminum castings, wrought aluminum, and magnesium.

Other Services

Does centex lab offer any other services?

Centex Lab offers off-site chemical analysis and machining of test specimens.
